Peer-based holistic recovery support

Collective Roots APG utilizes the Alternative Peer Group (APG) Model of Recovery to give teens a new and positive peer group with which to learn and grow in their recovery together. We believe the most effective way for teens to achieve sobriety and become strongly rooted in their recovery is through connecting with peers who are going through the same thing. APGs help hold space for teens to support each other through common challenges in a safe, substance-free, and FUN environment.

It is through the power of positive peer support that teens learn how to:

  • Communicate Honestly

  • Build Empathy

  • Hold Themselves and Each Other Accountable

  • Make Positive Choices

  • Celebrate Successes in Recovery

  • Have FUN in Recovery!

Families also benefit from the support they receive from each other and staff. They learn how to:

  • Make Self-Care a Priority

  • Develop Healthy Boundaries

  • Build Their Own Network of Support

  • Take Appropriate Action

  • Trust the Process of Recovery

  • Support Each Other Through Challenges

Teens and families often make lifelong friends because of the close bonds created while in an APG.

Welcome to Collective Roots APG, a beacon of hope and transformation for teens in early recovery and their families. We take pride in being a comprehensive recovery program that understands the unique challenges that come with the first 18 months to 4 years of early recovery.

Our Holistic Approach to Recovery

At Collective Roots APG, we go beyond conventional recovery programs. We are committed to supporting the entire family unit during the crucial early stages of recovery. Our comprehensive program is designed to address the needs of teens and their families, ensuring a well-rounded and supportive environment.

Making Sobriety Attractive Through FUN

We believe in the power of enthusiastic recovery. That's why we structure our program to include as much FUN as possible. By creating an environment where being sober is not just a commitment but an attractive lifestyle, we empower teens to embrace recovery with enthusiasm.

At Collective Roots APG, our commitment to the safety and well-being of our teens is at the core of our abstinence-based recovery program. We firmly believe in the power of an interventive stance as a key factor in the success of our Alternative Peer Groups (APGs). Our proactive approach to supporting families is instrumental in reducing the time teens spend in substance use, thereby saving lives.

Understanding the challenges faced by teens in early recovery, we recognize the importance of a comprehensive and supportive strategy. Our team is dedicated to crisis planning and response, ensuring that families receive timely and comprehensive support during critical moments in the recovery journey. This commitment extends beyond stabilization, offering ongoing assistance and connection to essential services.

By helping families take a proactive stance, we create an environment that fosters stability and recovery. Our success in reducing the time teens spend in substance use is a testament to the effectiveness of our interventive approach. At Collective Roots APG, we don't just advocate for abstinence; we actively support families through crisis, connect them to vital services, and provide the necessary support for sustained recovery.

For the safety of our enrolled teens, we offer our families access to life-saving harm-reduction tools such as Naloxone free of charge. This initiative, along with our holistic approach, reflects our commitment to the well-being of those within our community.

Join us at Collective Roots APG, where we redefine recovery by blending support, enthusiasm, and transformative experiences into a journey of hope.
